A world of newly-created Bengali animated cartoon characters like Neel, Pari, Rex, Packi, Stegy, Tops and Tero under the title “Dhinchak Dino”, opened up for the kids with the launch of MOOPLE TV Channel. Actor Dev and KoelMullick inaugurated the channel today in the presence of children marking Children’s Day celebrations also. The Channel on YouTube would provide infotainment and also teach basic education to the kids.

MOOPLE TV is the umbrella brand of Hi-Tech Animation – a Kolkata-based animation firm. The Channel would flag off with a series of animated cartoons in Bengali to be followed by similar series in Hindi and other Indian regional languages. The channel would have original and unique content with brand new animation, lyrics and music.

Hi-Tech Animation has plans to invest Rs 8 crores initially in MOOPLE TV for content creation in Bengali and other regional languages. The plan is to come up with a Bengali Satellite Cartoon Channel within two years. Hi-Tech Animation, with over 15 centres and 300+ employees across West Bengal, is an animation and multi-media education and training hub which caters to clients like Sony, Nick, ABP Ananda, Zee News, Zee Bangla and Siti Group of channels among others.

“Hi-Tech Animation has gathered deep experience creating content for some of the top companies in the field of animation for children. We work for kids who are the moodiest people in the world and also our super heroes. With this in mind, we have tried to make the content according to their various moods, hence the name MOOPLE. Creating a wide variety of content with different moods has been our biggest challenge and pleasure,” said Mr Subrata Roy, Founder and Managing Director of Hi-Tech Animation.

“We thought of starting in YouTube because it is a free channel and would be easily accessible to the children over mobile phones and other handheld gadgets. Also, we thought of starting with Bengali animated cartoons because besides Bangladesh and India, there is a huge Bengali diaspora across the world. We plan to come up with a Satellite Cartoon Channel within two years. Over the period of time we'll come   up with   merchandising and licensing of our different cartoon characters,” said

Mr Prashant Chopra, Mr Saurav Duggar and Mr Anurag Chirimar - the other Directors of MOOPLE TV  have  also  taken this venture  as   a  big challenge.Hi-Tech Animation churns out more than 1000 animation professionals every year through its education wing.
