Next Education’s Principals’ Conference in Kolkata discusses ‘Rationale of the Leadership Edge: Perspective of Challenges and Strategies’

VeenaRaizada, academician at Next Education India Pvt Ltd conducted an interactive workshop and explained the constantly changing context of school leadership

Continuing with its efforts, Next Education organised a conference for school principals' at Floatel Hotel, Kolkata on December 3, 2016. The one-day workshop conducted by VeenaRaizada, academic consultant at Next Education focused on the theme of ‘Rationale of the Leadership Edge: Perspective of Challenges and Strategies’. The workshop provided insights into research-based school reforms, the changing context of school leadership, new techniques to get students involved in the learning process, research and developments and other real-world applications in the education sector.

Following the welcome address delivered by Prasanjit Bose, Regional Manager, Next Education, the first session of the workshop focused on research-based school reforms and the consequences of changing context of school leadership. Followed by the post-lunch session directing the thought processes of participants on challenges and strategies to create learning organisations within the schools. These sessions also threw light on some of the best practices for handling challenges in contemporary education and applications that can better personalise instructions and improve academics. School principals of Kalyani Public School, AbhinavBharti, Central Model School, M.C KejariwalVidyapeeth, Agrasen Boys attended the one-day workshop.

Elaborating on the challenges and strategies in contemporary education, VeenaRaizada said, “It is essential for principals to have a visionary outlook for the holistic development of the school and get acquainted with practices adopted in the modern-day education system. The principals should adapt new techniques to exalt the learning process and undertake research to understand the ever-changing context of school leadership as it will help them in engaging the students better.”
