16^th Annual Reunion “Homecoming 2013” of Birla High School Alumni

Birla High School Alumni is organizing their 16^th Annual Reunion, ‘Homecoming, 2013’ on 12 January 2013. A renowned singer, Shayne Hyrapiet is cordially invited for the musical evening. Mr. S.K Birla is the eminent chief guest of the event to add more pride to the event.

This Alumni meet is a perfect opportunity to convey a message to the pass out students that even though they are not in and around the school but the school, their teacher and the campus and its wall still remembers them. This event is really close to the heart of the student when they meet their old buddies in their very own campus.

The Birla High School Alumni was founded 16 years back by a handful of ex students. Over the years, the membership has grown to more than 1300.

Though the major purposes of an Alumni is of reuniting old friends and give them the opportunity to reminisce and recall about the life they have left behind, Birla High School Alumni is so much more than that. Our association is also about giving something back to school through student oriented initiatives and society through various projects we undertake for example we have adopted a school in Sundarbans.

About Birla High School

Birla High School formerly known as Hindi High School was founded in Kolkata in 1942 by late Lakshmi Niwas Birla. It was established with the idea of sustaining and keeping the spiritual and Indian values along with western techniques to blend in a wholesome and harmonious discipline. Today, it is one of the premier educational institutes in Kolkata with more than 3500 students.

From generations our school has been blessed with visionaries and leading educationists as the Principal and his/her team. Our present Principal Ms Mukta Nain has continued the legacy and taken the school to new heights of success.
