EIRC & EICASA Kolkata to host International Conference of CA Students INTCON’22 on 29 & 30 January, 2022 in Kolkata

EIRC (Eastern India Regional Council) Kolkata, the proud host of The International Conference of CA Students (INTCON’22), an annual event on 29th & 30th January, 2022 at ITC Sonar Bangla. More than 5000 students joining virtually all over the world including 243 delegates from major International accounting bodies making the record of highest ever registration received in history of ICAI since 1949.

24 Paper Presenters from across the nation will be present physically to present their papers. The Institute’s own virtual platform is set with modern hi-tech system and technology thereby stimulating or replicating a truly physical experience for the students. This removed the geographical barrier for students from all over the world to not miss on this world-class learning. With 3.5 lakhs members, 50 thousand working abroad not only in accounting field but leading management organisation as CEOs and CFOs.

Six technical sessions will be followed by 4 motivational sessions with prolific and eminent speakers like B K Sister Shivani, Gyanvatsal Swami, Jaya Kishori and Aakash Gautam.

Attractive kit for all participating students will be delivered to their respective branches/city. E-certificates and 12 CPE hours credit included makes this unique. A live quiz session will be on during the entire two days technical sessions where virtually participating students can both ask and reply to questions online.

The city of joy received the opportunity to organize the conference after a decade after rotating around various cities comes to the hometown of Chairman, BOS- Operations and Vice-President, ICAI. With 165 branches across the nation and 50 countries not only educating students but also taking care of discipline mechanism of the profession.

In spite of the unavoidable situation, EIRC managed to send a message to the youth that learning never stops and life must go on. Let us move forward with caution and awareness in this trying time.

Addressing the shift and brain drain in the profession, CA Sushil Kumar Goyal stated that ICAI,  established under the act of the Parliament looked after by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, has managed to keep the interest of the students intact in the field of accounting profession following the doyens of the CA fraternity. ICAI has witnessed large number of registrations in the course even during the pandemic. Social media has also contributed in a massive way in spreading a word about the profession.

Referring to placements and career counselling of CA students, CA Ravi Kumar Patwa emphasized on the placement programmes conducted twice a year through campus interviews with more than 100 companies recruiting across the nation. To attract locals and madhyamika students with commerce background, career counselling Committee of ICAI holds regular counselling sessions to identify potential Chartered Accountants and motivate them to pursue the respected curriculum in near future.
