“Perspective and determination have been the most important levers, helping me to compete against myself. Goal is to win an Olympic medal for India, by beating my own achievements”, says 11-year old, BYJU’S Student Syndrela Das. Wise beyond her years, Syndrela Das who studies at G.D. Birla Centre For Education - Ashok Hall Schools, is a prolific Table Tennis champ who has achieved 9th rank in the ‘Under - 12 category’ from the Table Tennis Federation of India. She has even participated in multiple other tournaments like the 82nd Cadet and Sub-Junior National Table Tennis Championship, held in Indore. This young player further loves maintaining a balance between her studies and Table Tennis and enjoys BYJU’S sports-based examples in particular while studying Maths that help her visualize and learn concepts.
Syndrela started playing from the age of three-and-a-half years and slowly with time she channelized this passion into a dedication towards the sport. She used to practice six days a week, 5-hours a day which hampered her study schedule. To help maintain a balance and study at her own pace, her parents enrolled her with BYJU’S. Today even with a packed schedule full of practice and meets, Syndrela believes that learning from BYJU’S has simplified her learning journey and made her confident in life.
