Inauguration of
Tolly Lions Dialysis Centre
Tolly Lions Dialysis Centre (Unit of Tolly Lions Research &
Welfare Trust), a Project of Lions Club of Calcutta Tollygunge was inaugurated
on Sunday, 16th June, 2019 at 10.30am by Sri
Aroop Biswas, Hon'ble Minister for Public Works, Govt of West Bengal in the august presence of Sri Debasish Kumar,
Hon'ble Member, Mayor in Council, KMC, Industrialists Sri Gaurav Swarup&Sri
Manish Roongta, Past International Directors- Lion SangeetJatia&Lion G S
Hora, District Governor Lion KishanPoddar, Vice Governors - Lion SudhaJaiswal&Lion
Arun Jain, many Past District Governors, other Eminent Dignitaries and Members
of Lions Club
of Calcutta Tollygunge and other Clubs of District 322B2.
Tolly Lions
Dialysis Centre has been set up by Lions Club of CaluttaTollygungeas a State of
Art Dialysis Centre at 635, Kalikapur, Kolkata - 700099. The Dialysis Centre is
built on 5+ Cottahs of Land having a constructed area of 8000+ sq. ft. (G+3
building).
In the First
phase of the Project, Ten (10) Dialysis Machines& Beds with all modern
facilities have been installed which will offer dialysis facility at a very
affordable price to all the sections of the society in general and to the
weaker and underprivileged section of the society in particular and it is
expected that 750 to 900 dialysis will be done every month. The plan is to
expand the project from 10 Beds to 50 Beds in near future.
Sri Aroop Biswas, Hon'ble Minister for Public
Works, Govt of West Bengal said that such initiatives of Lions Club is very
much helpful for the society at large and will help the needy section of the
society. He said the state govt always welcomes and supports such noble
initiative. He offered his support and help for such projects.
Office Bearers of
the Club - Lion ManojBanthia, Lion Santosh Jain, Lion Ashok Pareek, Lion C S
Sarda, Lion B P sonthalia and Lion O P Agrawal welcomed all the guests and
dignitaries. Lion ManojBanthia, President very nicely conducted the Inaugural
Ceremony. Lion Santosh Jain gave the welcome address.
President Lion
ManojBanthia said that with help of lion members and corporate donors the dream
of our Club has come true after so many years of hard work and efforts.
The Project
Co-Chairman Lion Ashok Pareek said that the Dialysis centre is one of the
finest dialysis facility in the City of Kolkata and the project cost for the
first phase is Rs. 6.50 Crores.
All the Guests and Dignitaries said that such a dialysis centre
was need of the hour and they praised the efforts of Lions Club of Tollygungefor
coming out with such a great & much needed project with which the society
at large will be immensely benefitted.
About Lions Club of Calcutta Tollygunge
Lions Club of Calcutta Tollygunge,
the Oldest &2nd largest Club of Lions District 322B2, was Chartered on
21-12-1961 with 27 members. The Club is engaged in Service to the Humanity
through various social welfare activities. Currently, the Club has 165 Lion
Members.Tolly Lions Research &
Welfare Trust is the charitable wing of the Club and most of the social
welfare activities of the Club are conducted through Tolly Lions Research &
Welfare Trust.
