launch a grand multi-city trade roadshow to introduce cruise enthusiasts and
travel partners to Celebrity Edge - a transformative cruise ship- redefining
the standards of cruising across the industry. The roadshow, which was formally
flagged off today in Kolkata, will cover Pune, Chennai and Ahmedabad.
Celebrity Edge, a
revolutionary cruise ship by award winning Celebrity Cruises, has set some
unprecedented standards with its features, aesthetics, architecture and most
importantly, itineraries. The revolutionary ship has a tonnage of 130,818 GT
and a double-occupancy capacity of 2918 passengers and 1400 crew members,
making it the ship with the best passenger-to-crew ratio.
It is a true
architectural wonder with various amenities including an innovative moving deck
called The Magic Carpet - the world’s first cantilevered floating
platform that keeps changing its position to offer breath
taking views to guests; Infiniti Veranda - a feature that enables guests
to transform their entire living space into a balcony opening out into the vast
ocean, all with the touch of a button; The Garden of Paradise on
Water-Eden – the first-of-its-kind ship features Eden, an on-board garden
and a recreational area, that includes some of the most exotic and beautiful
plants across three levels ensconced in glass, looking out to the beautiful
ocean outside.
A
state-of-the-art spa on sea, sprawling over 14,000 square feet, with an
accompanying gym and café covers 22,000 sq ft and offers a wide variety of
treatments and wellness facilities that will help guests forge a deeper
connection with the ocean. The Retreat - featuring a private pool and a
lounge and an exclusive sanctuary designed just for Suite Class guests, The
Rooftop Garden which provides movies, meals and nature – is a brainchild of
celebrated architect Tom Wright a perfect place to relax and unwind in the lap
of nature.

great anticipation in cruising circles regarding Edge’s launch, it is ideal

The other
cruiseline of Royal Caribbean Cruises Limited, which is Royal Caribbean
International, has announced its India sailings in line with the increasing
demand for cruise tourism witnessed in India. These cruises include, Explorer
of the Seas and Spectrum of the Seas. To be launched in April 2019, this would
be the largest ship to come to India. These India sailings are due in April and
May, coinciding with travel season.
The multi-city
roadshow is a grand way to showcase the fact that cruise tourism is in fact the
fastest growing travel segment in the country. With TIRUN being a significant
