Kolkata streets witness the best of technological products courtesy of TE Rig

Kolkata witnessed a quirky phenomenon on Tuesday. People gathered around a unique vehicle at  Jadavpur University Kolkata  that was laden with some of the best of technology and which welcomed onlookers to try their hand at it.

Taiwan Excellence’s uber cool mobile showroom TE Rig landed in Kolkata as part of its multi-city tour after it was flagged off from Mumbai on July 19. TE Rig will be cruising its way into the hearts of people across India by touring 59 locations, covering over 12 states before returning to Mumbai.

The TE Rig is an inimitable vehicle that has some trailblazing technology products encompassing gaming, ICT, home and living – each bearing the hallmark of Taiwan Excellence that stands for brilliance in technology. The vehicle does not just showcase products, it also lets people experience each of the products and accessories first-hand – an opportunity not many get to enjoy often. Taiwan has always been known for its leading technology industry that produces some world-class products and innovations and is home to leading ICT, gaming & lifestyle brands. Taiwan is also known for its superlative gaming tournaments in the world and is looked upon as a premier gaming destination.

Leading Taiwanese brands like MSI, ASUS, ACER, Adata, FECA, Silicon Power, BenQ, Gigabyte, Team Group, Transcend, Opro 9, Inwin, Avision, Aifa, Thermaltake, Edimax, D-Link, Aver Media and Tokuyo have showcased their products on the TE Rig.

TE Rig is visiting different cities as part of India’s biggest gaming event Taiwan Excellence Gaming Cup (TEGC). The elimination rounds of TEGC began on July 16 for the pan India championship that has an impressive line-up of cities including Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata. The grand finale will take place in Mumbai on October 19 and 20 which will see a total of 8 CS GO teams and 8 DOTA 2 teams. This year, TEGC will challenge gamers to battle it out for the most coveted cup and winners will take home a cumulative cash prize of Rs 10 lakh and many other brand prizes.

Taiwan Excellence will also give the finale winners of DOTA 2 and CS GO the golden opportunity to fly to Taiwan to witness the best of technology first-hand. The winners will get a chance like never before to visit the country that is the ultimate destination for gaming and get a personal experience of the technology.
