Shri Shikshayatan Holds GRAND FINALE – “JUBILARE 2015”

The Diamond Jubilee celebrations “JUBILARE 2015” of Shri Shikshayatan School culminated with the Grand Finale at the Science City Auditorium on the 16th of July, 2015. The occasion was graced by His Excellency, Hon’ble Governor of West Bengal, Shri Keshari Nath Tripathi. Shri S.K.Birla, the President of the Trust, Shri G.K.Khaitan, a  member  of the Trust & also President of the Shri Shikshayatan College Governing Body. Ms. Bratati Bhattacharya, the Secretary General of the Trust, was also present.
The school has a chequered history of 60 glorious years and it continues its march towards educating girls and helping them to imbibe national pride and a global perspective. This was well reflected in their school song “Marching together…..” followed by a mellifluous and melodious rendition of three patriotic songs and a dance recital.

A documentary film capturing the 60 years saga of Shri Shikshayatan School and highlighting the institution’s achievements, activities and accolades were shown.

Shri S.K,Birla delivered the welcome address and felicitated the Chief Guest, His Excellency, the Hon’ble  Governor of West Bengal. The auspicious lamp was lit by His Excellency accompanied by the other distinguished dignitaries.

 His Excellency, the Hon’ble Governor of West Bengal addressed the audience and appreciated the school’s constant endeavour towards the holistic development of the students and its journey towards excellence in all spheres of teaching-learning process.

 A souvenir - ‘Reminiscing 60 years- a journey’ was released by the Chief Guest and Shri S.K.Birla  which encases the glimpses of
yesteryears from 1954 to 2014 through photographs, articles and messages by present and past heads of the school, teachers and students. The school is proud to publish the greetings and felicitations sent by the Honourable President of India, Shri Pranab Mukhejee on this momentous occasion of the school’s Diamond Jubilee Celebrations in the souvenir.

The Chief Guest, the Hon’ble Governor of West Bengal, gave away special prizes to the 20 extraordinary, outstanding student –achievers in different categories such as Spell O’Expert, Math Wizard, Budding Scientists etc. The Principal, Ms. Indrani Ganguly and the
Headmistress Ms.Poushali Mukherjee proudly apprised the audience of the achievements of the students.

Jubilare 2015 drew to a close with the vote of thanks by the Secretary General –Ms. Bratati Bhattacharya followed by the National Anthem.
