Celebrates its 7th Founder’s Day – “Spirit of Sports, Raising Our
Game”
iLEAD, celebrated its 7th
Founder’s Day, “Spirit of Sports – Raising Our Game” at GD Birla Sabhagar on
the evening of 13th September. Presided by Chief Guest, Prof Saikat Maitra, the
Vice Chancellor of MAKAUT, and Guests of Honour, Mr Yan Law, CEO of
Premier Soccer Schools, Mr Dipak
Roy, Gold Medalist Boxer and Mr Ranji Saha, National Darts Champion
& Co-Founder of Powerplay and iLEAD Chairman, Mr Pradip Chopra, the event
was an exciting experience for the audience at the packed venue. With the theme
being sports, 26 sports teachers from all around the city were felicitated and
honored. After the inaugural Vandana, an eastern dance recital and lighting of
the inaugural lamp, the dignitaries one by one gave their insights on life and
the field of sports.
The students then depicted various
forms of sports with innovation and creative in their dances on songs like
“Sachin Sachin”, “Waving Flag”, “Chak De India”, “Dhakkad” and “Woh
Sikandar”. This was followed by the
iLEAD Employee Performance which narrated the life of a lady born with vision
of a dreamer to become a sports star and how she conquered her obstacles. There were more dances on hip hop, jazz and
Bollywood hits followed by Fashion show that depicted various Bollywood themes
and eras.
Musical performances by the students
garnered excitement at its peak with audiences cheering and jiving to the
tunes. The performance was a blend of songs, beat boxing and live speed sketching.
The evening ended with guest performance by well known rock band “Ohm” playing
covers and rocking the conclusion of the grand evening.
The iLEAD Founder’s Day celebration
was a joint collaboration of various departments of iLEAD ranging from Academics
and Cultural to Alumni Club and Student Council. The audience loved the concept, theme and
presentations carrying home memories to cherish.
