Student
of the Year awards – Celebrating India’s best achievers among school students
The application process for
the inaugural Student of the Year Awards, presented by the Global SOTY
Foundation, has already commenced. USA UnivQuest is the
Process Facilitator for this event.
The Student of the Year Award will
celebrate the best achievers among school students in India. The title of
Student of the Year will be awarded to a student who has the potential to serve
as a role model for the youth in India, now and in the future.
Through the Student of the Year Award,
the Global SOTY Foundation seeks to redefine success for school students in
India. The Foundation feels that students in India need to break out of the
strict, rote based, syllabi oriented ‘education’ that they receive at school.
With the assistance of USA UnivQuest, a
process has been defined that will allow the Foundation to identify students
with the potential to succeed in an ever changing world. Students who go beyond
just their books and are independent thinkers and problem solvers will be
strong contenders for the top Award.
Students in India who are currently
studying in class 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 can register for the Student of the Year
Award. The Awards have two categories – National and City. The Best Student in
India from each class will receive the National Student of the Year Award and
will receive a Gold Plaque. Similarly, the 1st and 2nd
Runners-up from each class get Silver and a Bronze Plaque respectively. All
three Winners will receive a Certificate of Excellence.
The City Student of the Year will be
awarded to the best student in each of the identified 35 cities. The Top
Student from each class of every city gets a Gold Medal. Similarly, the 1st
and 2nd Runners-up from each class get Silver and a Bronze Medal
respectively. All three Winners will receive a Certificate of Excellence.

MNC recruiters and Best Ranked Universities across the world, especially the
USA. The application process will force students to introspect and reflect on
their achievements and strengths. Students would undergo Inner Engineering that
