Full Day Seminar on “Company Secretary – A Perfect Professional”

H.E. Shri Keshari Nath Tripathi, Hon’ble Governor, West Bengal addressing the seminar as the Chief Guest said that excellence, experience & professionalism ensures effective management and  Individuals/organisations should strive for excellence by effectively managing their resources. He added that the Companies Act, 2013 have conferred special status to Company Secretary(CS) as a Key Managerial Personnel and Company Secretaries are advisors  to the board on best corporate practices.He also said that the role of Company Secretary in the present times have gone beyond compliance and they should try to add value to the organisation, thus becoming a perfect professional.

Shri Vivek Gupta, Hon’ble Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) in his address congratulated the CS fraternity in organising a full day seminar on the theme “Company Secretary – A Perfect Professional”. 

CS Santosh K Agarwala, Central Council Member ICSI in his address said the ICSI was incorporated on 04th Oct 2016 by Ministry of Corporate Affairs.The ICSI as on date is the largest body in the world for Company/Corporate Secretaries. There are around 45000 Company Secretaries in India out of the total 75000 present worldwide.He added that CS is today the Key Managerial Personnel of the company and the only professional authorised by law to conduct Secretarial Audit

CS Sandip Kumar Kejriwal, Chairman, EIRC of ICSI thanked Hon’ble Governor Shri Shri Keshari Nath Tripathi for accepting his request and gracing the occasion as Chief Guest. Shri Kejriwal welcomed all the delegates and took the opportunity to state that Company Secretaries are the best professionals who take care of Stakeholders,regulatory authorities and the Board. A Company Secretary is the Key Managerial Personnel who helps Chairman, Board to make decisions for the betterment of the organisation.
