GST to accelerate India’s Growth -
says CS Mamta Binani, President, ICSI

Secretaries of India (ICSI) Welcomes the landmark Constitutional (122nd Amendment) Bill, 2014.
‘The GST regime can be a game changer which will propel
India into the big league of developed nations’, said CS Mamta Binani,
President ICSI.
While welcoming the landmark GST Act, CS Mamta Binani , President,
ICSI said, that it is a proactive step towards the development of Indian
economy bringing us one step closer to joining hands with the Global Economy.
It shall be the most comprehensive single tax system for the economy proving to
be a great boost in the direction of attracting investments and in furtherance
of ‘Make in India” initiative of the Govt of India.

Binani further informed that in order to create a widespread awareness and to
facilitate capacity building of its members and other professionals in the
spectrum of Goods and Services Tax, The ICSI is observing ‘GST Awareness
Drive’ and is undertaking the following activities:
* Special publications
showcasing the reach and strength of GST
* Chartered
Secretary Special issue on GST
* Special Webinar Classes on GST
* Awareness Programmes, Seminars,
Sharing of Knowledge material, Panel discussion etc. on GST.
* Symposiums on “Goods & Services Tax” in all major
cities.
* Master Classes on GST.
