Bridge & Roof takes up
NATRiP Lab project
Kolkata, January, 2014:
The Bridge & Roof Co. (India) Ltd (B&R), a Mini Ratna Public Sector
Enterprise, has bagged the project for constructing the NVH Lab infrastructure
of the National Automotive Testing and R&D Infrastructure Project's
(NATRiP) at Manesar, Haryana.
The foundation stone for the NVH Lab project at International Centre
for Automotive Technology (iCAT) Campus-II was laid by Dr S Behuria, Secretary
(Heavy Industries) in the presence of Mr N R Gokarn, CEO and Project Director,
NATRiP, and Mr M K Singh, CMD, Bridge & Roof Co. (India) Ltd, recently.
“The Noise, Vibration & Harshness (NVH) facility is a great boon for automotive original equipment and component manufacturers that would put India in the global league. We are confident of completing the project on schedule,” said Mr M K Singh, CMD, Bridge & Roof Co. (India) Ltd.
The Rs 2268 crore NATRiP is one of the largest and most
significant initiatives in the automotive sector to build core global
competencies and facilitate seamless integration of Indian Automotive industry
with it.
The project is unique with the Government of India, a number of State Governments and Indian automotive industry joining hands to create a state-of-the-art testing, validation and R&D infrastructure across seven locations in the country. NATRiP project includes setting up of five green field centres at Manesar, Chennai, Indore, Silchar, Rae Bareilly and upgradation of two existing centres at Pune and Ahmednagar.
