Kolkata,2013: On the occasion of Teacher’s Day, iLEAD felicitated  Leading college and school principals of Kolkata,  who have immensely contributed towards the education ecosystem of the city through their outstanding leadership qualities and proactive and visionary approach at iLEAD Campus .

Dr. G D Gautama, the State Information Commissioner and formerly the Principal Secretary in the department of Information Technology, Tourism, Micro and small scale industry was chairperson of the event. The special guest of honor was Mr. Kris Srinivasan, ex-Foreign Secretary of Government of India and presently the visiting faculty of Uppsala University in Sweden and Oxford University. Mr. Pradip Chopra, Chairman, iLEAD was also present on this occasion.

Principals felicitated on this occasion were Dr. Atashi Karpha,, Gokhale Memorial Girls’ College, Mr. Terence John, Grace Ling Liang English School, Ms. Sunita Chandrasekhar, National High School for Boys, Ms. Seema Sapru, The Heritage School, Dr.Deepali Singhee, JD Birla Institute, Dr. Deepak Kumar Kar, Ashutosh College, Mr. Sunirmal Chakravarthi, La Martiniere for Boys, Mr. Ranjan Mitter, The Future Foundation School, Ms. Angela Ghose, St. James’ School, Dr. Siuli Sarkar, Lady Brabourne College and Ms. Kaveri Dutt of Modern High School for Girls.

On this auspicious occasion iLEAD provided diploma to the first batch of undergraduate students passing out of iLEAD and the second batch of postgraduate students. The institute  honoured the iLEADERS (iLEAD students) who had successfully conducted ‘Take The Lead’ program under its CSR Activity, sensitizing various under-privileged students on “How to Get World Class Education for FREE” in various cities including Ranchi, Bhubaneswar and Siliguri.
