JD Birla Institute organized Alumni Nite
On the completion of its 50 glorious years.
To make it more interesting
and memorable the institute organized this event on a barge.
JD Birla Institute (JDBI) organized Alumni
Nite on a barge, ‘Reviera’ The barge was beautifully decorated with lights
which attracted many viewers nearby. The
journey started from Outram Ghat at 5.30pm. It was really a great idea to organize the event in a place
from where one can view the Howrah Bridge
lit up spontaneously owing to the Christmas celebrations and New Year
festivities. It must have been the most amazing experiences to sail below the
bridge and view the iconic banks of the river Ganges.
There were approximately 188 students and faculties who
attended this adventurous event. The institute also organized band named Ranadeep
Roy and Group to keep up the enthusiasm among the students.
The students really enjoyed the event with an eclectic
mix of music, ambience and yummy food. The students also took the initiative to
tap their foot on the beats played by the band. This event gave a wonderful
opportunity to the former students to meet their old buddies and cherish their
memories of their college life. The cheer, warmth and liveliness made the occasion
highly memorable.
“It was a
pleasure and a moment of pride for me to see the past meeting the future.
The Alumni Association of the Institute hopes to continue with such annual
event of this kind on the coming years.”
said the Principal, Dr. Deepali Singhee.
“I enjoyed the event to its fullest as the
arrangements were just superb and the venue was an add on factor to make this
event more memorable for all of us. Thanks JDBI. JDBI ROCKS!!! ” said an
alumni.
