ILEAD SIGNS MOU WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF DHAKA

The first ever collaboration between the University of Dhaka and ILEAD set to kindle the academic exchange between the two neighbouring countries

KOLKATA: The Institute of Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Development (ILEAD) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Dhaka (DU) on July 08 (Monday). Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr.A.A.M.S. Arefin Siddique of the University of Dhaka and the Chairman of ILEAD Mr. Pradip Chopra attended the ceremony at Dhaka.
The signing of an MOU will initiate and facilitate collaboration between the two educational institutes, situated in two neighbouring countries, in terms of academic research, student exchange, and information sharing. It also offers opportunities for Bangladeshi students to study for different degree courses  in ILEAD, supported financially by scholarships. This is also the first deep collaboration between the University of Dhaka and ILEAD, facilitated by their formal communicative and cooperative relationship.
The agreement between the University of Dhaka and ILEAD is designed to promote international cooperation in education and research, and covers activities such as: faculty exchange, including visiting scholars, exchange of teachers and researchers, student exchange, and academic information and materials sharing. The collaboration also aims for joint research programs and research achievement sharing between ILEAD and the University of Dhaka, in addition to conducting joint training programs in various disciplines. It also allows the two institutions to develop additional activities of mutual benefits, including jointly-sponsored conferences or forums.
Chairman of ILEAD, Mr. Pradip Chopra, said, “As ILEAD continues to further develop its links with the world’s leading universities, I am very pleased and honored to be able to sign this historic MOU with the University of Dhaka. Through our partnership with this very prestigious university in Bangaladesh, we look forward to strengthening our long-term relations, and building closer and deeper ties for the new generations of our two great countries."
